In today's lesson we have been discussing definitions about words and how they can be put into sentences. The method we have been working on to memorise the different words is to let someone hold the words up on a piece of paper, where the definition is at the back to help the person out who is in charger of up holding the paper so she can decide whether we are right or wrong. When memorising the words, we did think to ourselves and said that was a good way of learning because it was fun and it also was beneficial for my learning.
The reason to why we are doing this is because we have an assessment next week so we are preparing our vocabulary and understanding where different words are meant to be in a sentence. Throughout the class lesson we also just shared what words were difficult and how we could make it come familiar to the mind when we tell them what it means. As a group we gave them clues or other words that may sound similar. Another way was to give them a sentence involving he meaning of the word but at the same time avoiding the definite definition so it made them think also................. Now the bell went!!
